How do I install the camera?Updated a year ago
The Baseline Camera can be installed in just a few simple steps.
Watch the video below for a full demonstration.
Mounting
1. The camera needs to be installed facing away from the sun. Choose the left or right side of the net accordingly.
2. Attach the mounting arm to the upper end of the net post and use the lever on the right side to open and close the arm.
3. The camera is equipped with a magnetic quick-release plate designed to fit the head on the mounting arm. Simply slide the camera into this plate to secure it in place.
Camera Orientation
1. Ensure the bubble on the top of the camera is more or less centred. The line on the top of the camera should be more or less aligned with the net.
2. If you need to adjust the camera orientation, loosen the wheel on the mount.
3. To lock the camera's orientation, tighten the mount's wheel clockwise.
Turning On
1. The power button is on the top of the camera. Allow around 30 seconds for the camera to boot up.
2. Once ready, the yellow LED lights will flicker at the side of the camera and the speakers will announce that the camera is ready to connect.
Connecting To Phone
1. Open the Baseline app. If you don't have it yet, download here for iPhone and here for Android. Note: on your first use, you'll need to approve all requested permissions.
2. On the dashboard, choose which type of activity you'd like to do.
3. When requested to do so, scan the QR code located at the back of the camera. Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your phone during this process and that no one is standing on the court.
4. The blue lights will flicker. After the camera is connected and calibrated, you'll see the message 'Ok, all set' appear on your phone. The camera will also say ready to play and green LED lights will flicker three times.
Powering Off
1. Simply press the power button for approximately 3 seconds. You'll hear the power off sound, confirming the shutdown.
2. Slide the camera out of the mounting arm.
3. Use the lever on the right side to unmount the arm.
